The Brown County Historical Society invites the public to the Display of Vintage Quilts on Saturday, June 29, from 9:00am to 5:00pm in the Museum Annex located north of the Museum. This program is presented in conjunction with Quiltistry, an event Celebrating Quilting, Art and History. In addition to the display vintage quilts, the BCHS Popcorn Wagon will be selling fresh popcorn from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Admission to the Display of Vintage Quilts is free. Quiltistry presents an outdoor display of quilts located at various historic sites throughout the city including: Schell’s Brewery and Gardens, Hermann Monument, Glockenspiel and Schonlau Park, Brown County Museum Annex, The Way of the Cross and the Lind House. Visitors are encouraged to start and end their Quiltistry Passport at one of the three unique quilt shops conveniently located all within one mile: The Sewing Seeds Quilt Company, Spinning Spools Quilt Shop and the Thimble Box. Those who complete the passport receive a fat quarter bundle and will be eligible for a drawing to receive 1 of 3 $100 gift certificates.
