Tour of the Brown County Historical Society Museum - CAST Educational Program
Trip Details: We will meet at the Brown County Museum at 12:50pm. Admission will be paid by CAST, so the tour is free. Pre-registration is required so we know how many will be attending. Register by calling 507-354-3212 (leave a message with your name and phone number). A designated parking space and wheelchair entrance are located at the back of the museum in the parking lot. There is a wheelchair lift and elevator inside the museum. The back door is kept locked, so please ring the doorbell or call the museum at 507-233-2616. Join us as we tour this wonderful museum! Current exhibits may include: Becoming Brown County: The Land and its People, 170 Years of the City of Charm and Tradition, The Rise and Fall of Brown County’s Flour Industry, 170 Years of Holidays in Brown County, A New Ulm Hero: Captain Willibald Bianchi, and Never Shall I Forget – A New Look At Brown County and the U.S.-Dakota War. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
