The New Ulm Public Library is excited to be hosting a free screening of the short film, “The Farewell,” featuring local and regional actors and crew and filmed mostly in Brown and Redwood Counties. The screening will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the library. The film is a live action adaptation of a script originally intended as an animated feature and is directed by Peter Buckley. In keeping with the surreal genre of the film, it ends with a question to ponder, and we hope you enjoy it! The film is made possible by an artist’s grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council through funding from the McKnight Foundation.
