Join Brown County Historical Society’s Carla Fjeld for a fascinating presentation at the New Ulm Public Library on Monday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m. Come learn more about what it was like to live in Brown County during the 1930s! The presentation tells the secret stories of our county’s involvement in counterfeiting rings, bootleggers, holdups, and gangsters. It also highlights Brown County’s experiences during Prohibition, the attitudes of the people of Brown County toward Prohibition, the effects it had on Brown County’s three operating breweries, and the ways in which people ignored or bypassed Prohibition. We hope you’ll join us!
