Musician, Bill Cagley, who plays "music for all ages" will be performing at the Harkin Store on May 27 from 1 to 4 pm. Bill sings and plays guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. He has performed many years at the Harkin Store and at many other historical sites. He will also have his daughter, Sarah, join him in singing and will also be doing Appalachian clogging. Come and listen to this great program on our porch or bring along a blanket or a lawn chair.
The admission to the program is included with the admission to the store. The gift shop is also open the same hours as the store and has many unique and hand crafted items, books toys, and 10 cent candy. The store is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 4 pm. We are also open on Monday, May 28. Please note that the store hours and days have been changed.
We are also in road construction on Nicollet County Road 21 so follow the detour signs or call the store when open for directions at 1-507-354-8666. The store is located nine miles northwest of New Ulm on Nicollet County Road 21, or the bottom road, or nine miles east of Fort Ridgley. Nicollet County Historical Society operates the store.
Admission to the program is included with your site admission of $6 adults, $5 seniors, college students, and veterans & active military, $4 children ages 5-17 and Free for children age 4 and under and Nicollet County and Minnesota Historical Society members.
