HYPE No Mic Needed: Improv for the Workplace Workshop

No Mic Needed: Improv in the Workplace is an interactive professional development workshop focused on building confidence, adaptability, and communication skills in the workplace.

Improv techniques help participants improve their ability to think on their feet, respond to unexpected situations, and interact more effectively with coworkers and clients. This play-based session emphasizes interaction over performance and is designed for all experience levels.

Participants will gain practical tools to:

Navigate surprises and change in the workplace
Communicate more confidently and authentically
Respond to challenging situations with empathy
Strengthen collaboration and workplace relationships

Get to Know the Instructor

Lorie Jewell brings a unique blend of leadership, creativity, and performance to the workplace. Currently the Executive Director at State Street, Lorie has a lifelong background in performing arts and improvisation, beginning her performance journey at just five years old. She has traveled internationally with the Up with People performing arts program and received formal improv training through The Bovine Metropolis. Lorie is also a former member of the University of Colorado Boulder improv team, where she honed the interactive, people-focused skills she now applies to professional development and leadership training.
