May 11 – Status of RENU Projects
The City of New Ulm has obtained Minnesota State authorization to spend up to an additional $14,800,000 of its ½% local option sales tax revenue on seven projects: Indoor water park & safety improvements to existing indoor pool, Indoor playground, Wellness Center, Gymnastics facility, Multi-purpose dome, Johnson Park grandstand improvements and Hermann Heights Park entrance road & parking improvements. Hear the latest status of the projects schedule, including committee structures and design process. Speakers will include Tom Schmitz, Director, Department of Park & Recreation; Brian Gramentz, City Manager, City of New Ulm; and Larry Mack, RENU Oversight Committee’s City Council Representative.
Hot Topics are held at the New Ulm Country Club, start at noon and end before 1:30 p.m. allowing time for lunch, presentation and some Q&A to the presenters.
