CASTLE Lifelong Learning Event - History of our State Capitol and Renovations, February 22 at 1:30 pm at Room 112, Community Center. Come to one session at the Community Center with historian Denis Gardner. We’ll learn the history of our State Capitol and of the recent restoration. Denis is the National Register historian at the Minnesota Historic Preservation Office in St. Paul. He is the author of Minnesota Treasures: Stories Behind the State’s Historic Places (MNHS Press) and Wood, Concrete, Stone, and Steel: Minnesota’s Historic Bridges (University of Minnesota Press) and a brand new book on the Minnesota State Capitol.
