Exploring CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) - Information Meeting
The New Ulm area is exploring the possibility of bringing the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program to our local high schools. CEO is a proven, community-driven initiative that connects education and business to prepare the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
Join us for an informational meeting to learn how this program could positively impact our students, local workforce, and community. The CEO program is supported by the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship and is currently active in 78 communities across 11 states—including 6 in Minnesota.
What CEO Offers:
- Entrepreneurship: Students become creative problem solvers with hands-on experience launching their own businesses.
- Essential Skills: Daily practice of communication, professionalism, and leadership in real-world settings.
- Career Exploration: Students visit 40+ local businesses and meet with 40+ guest speakers throughout the year.
- Community Connection: Each student is mentored by a local business leader and builds a professional network of 100+ contacts.
- Talent Retention: Students gain a deeper connection to their hometown and are more likely to stay or return after graduation.
