9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Springfield Area Community Center, 33 South Cass Drive, Springfield, MN

12:00 - 1:30 p.m. at the The Grand Center for Arts & Culture, 210 North Minnesota Street, New Ulm, MN

How many people do we need to run our small towns?
How many leaders and volunteers are available?
There is an expectation that public offices and community
organizations will be able to find enough people to serve year
after year. While the population in Brown County has declined
slightly, the number of civic organization has increased by
8% the past 10 years.
The changing patterns of social involvement, and the impact
this has on current community groups, will also be discussed.
